Beautiful and enchanting, that's what Morth's "Towards the Endless Path" can be described despite all the saying that atmospheric black metal is now underrated and trendy but who cares? This Bulgarian one man band struggled on his own from 2002 to complete the recordings and by completing this album, one year after the release of "Ocean Underground" demo in 2014. Eryline really knows what's best for the band and his musical direction is just as interesting as it gets.
"Towards the Endless Path" is a long and wonderful journey of pure atmospheric black metal, one of the best without doubt. One hour of tranceful musical composition, well arranged to spread it's beauty and dark side of concept of the entire album. The atmosphere of this album is superb and quite fascinating eventhough it's quite raw and unpolished but some bands need to stay that way just to make enough room for some positive comparison. Heavy and raw guitar playing as the melody lines of the composition "speaks" and memorable as well for those who love to sit back and immerse deep into the world beyond reality.Interesting keyboard and synth lines are all over this album which makes it more interesting and adds more power to the lyrics which dwells around death, soul and life in general. The drums are neatly programmed and fills in just right for each song to accompany Eryline's harsh and cold vocals portraying all sorts of emotions and together with the music, it's an easy connection between Morth and the listeners to share the same feeling through this album.
With such emotion spilled all over it, "Towards the Endless Path" is one of the examples of a good release and managed to find its direction independently into the black metal scene. As we know that creativity has no boundaries and Morth has it for now and for years to come. Come forth and be prepared to be drowned in the world that devours without us realizing it.
