Band : Of Fire
Title : Death Do Us All
Origin : Sweden
When we talk about metal bands from Sweden, the first impression will always be heavy as shit and melodic as fuck metal music which has become a trademark for many years and one of the strongest marketing strategy in terms of export values and such. Here comes Of Fire, a band originating from Norrtälje, Sweden with their latest offering entitled "Death Do Us All" which is also their second full length after "Carnage Fever" released in 2014. Straight to the face death 'n' roll metal music with tons of groove elements embedded well in the composition that fits in just like that.Tons of old school aura can be detected easily through the fine instrumentation from the entire album which is not surprising at all, since old school stuffs now has become more mainstream and incorporated almost in every new releases especially death metal in general. The sound is quite impressive with all instruments are well balanced and mixed, a headbanging treat for the masses while enjoying the groovy sound of this album. While the music continues to play its part, the vocal parts are neat and decent with just enough room to make way through the slower and mid paced flow of the songs, old school style. Even with all the needed elements for a death 'n' roll release, Of Fire managed to include some extra elements to their music, in this case there are keyboard parts along the guitar section which gives an uplifting moment to those who are looking for melodramatic passage type of music. With the lyrical theme sets from zombies, gore, death and violence, this should make the entire album a promising journey for death metal maniacs particularly and also extreme metal music fans generally. Another quality release of the year 2017, Of Fire is still alive and kicking not only as a new band but a band of pure honesty. Through the ups and downs of metal music trends worldwide, they are still here standing their ground with their own brand of death 'n' roll music, competing in this extreme and harsh world of metal music and keep on moving forward from time to time. It sounds simple but yet it's not what it seem to be. Recommended not only for fans of Entombed and Carcass but the entire metal music lovers as well!
