I never expect to hear another decent release from a new band like The Black Moriah. This is because the sound generally generates the old school metal feeling to me.This feeling I got when listening to Casket Prospects are mixed up with the current expectation that they might take the modern approach and they actually did with much respect and honor. It's an easy to digest black/thrash album with enough proof of the existence of the music that makes you want to bang your head is still alive today!Twisted but simple melody lines combined with a brilliant composition and arrangement that sure will satisfy you while listening to it.The instrumentation embedded with the essence of the catchy and groovy touch which explains the presence of death metal elements here and there but that doesn't go beyond the boundary at all.I would go for Southern Tombstone as my favorite track that stands out in its unique way for a band from Texas as the wild west theme is incorporated wisely with black/thrash metal and surf punk together with the elements of Middle Eastern that stands out from other releases. As far as I'm concern, this is something that everyone should get their hands on,The Black Moriah as it is.
